Packers rule out Love, will start Willis vs. Ravens

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Packers will be without quarterback Jordan Love and will start backup Malik Willis on Saturday night against the Ravens.
Love was downgraded from questionable to out on Friday after he sustained a concussion in last Saturday's overtime loss to the Chicago Bears and did not clear all the required stages of the concussion protocol. Willis finished the game against the Bears but injured his right, throwing shoulder on the final play of regulation.
Both quarterbacks were limited participants in practice this week, although Willis missed a day because of an illness that has been spreading through the Packers' locker room.
With Jordan Love Inactive, Packers Make Move at Quarterback
GREEN BAY, Wis. – With Jordan Love out with a concussion, the Green Bay Packers have elevated quarterback Clayton Tune from the practice squad for Saturday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Packers created a spot on the 53-man roster on Friday when they placed linebacker Kristian Welch on injured reserve. That will be kept for someone else, though.

Tune, a fifth-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2023, signed to Green Bay’s practice squad after he was released by the Cardinals at the end of training camp.

To those who didn’t see Friday’s update, Love has been downgraded to out. Hopefully, Love is doing all right, but there really isn't much more to say until Matt LaFleur speaks after the game. The Packers placed Kristian Welch on injured reserve Friday but haven't made any corresponding roster moves yet. I can only assume Willis starts, with Clayton Tune either added to the 53-man roster today or elevated from the practice squad to serve as QB2.
