Killeen ISD Board Honors Holiday Card Winners, Hears Update on Charter Process
The Killeen Independent School District Board of Trustees recognized student winners of the district’s annual Holiday Card Contest during its meeting Tuesday, celebrating creativity and talent from campuses across the district.
Three student designs were selected as the official Killeen ISD holiday cards, and one student designed the holiday card for the Killeen ISD Education Foundation.
“We look forward to seeing the creativity and talent our students bring to this contest every year,” said Karen Rudolph, executive director for communications and marketing. “This is always a special opportunity to celebrate our students and share their work with the broader community.”

KILLEEN, Texas (KXXV) — Students in the Killeen Independent School District are celebrating the holiday season with the district’s annual Holiday Card Contest.
“This is always a special opportunity to celebrate our students and share their work with the broader community,” said Karen Rudolph, executive director for communications and marketing.
During the meeting, each winner received a framed copy of their artwork and a bundle of printed holiday cards.

Education Foundation delivers $76,800 in classroom grants
During its 25-year history, the Killeen ISD Education Foundation has seen an impressive increase in all forms of donations received and gifts given.
What hasn’t changed are the grateful responses of those who receive the bounty of generous community donors.
On Tuesday, three days before the start of the district’s two-week holiday break, teachers in 15 KISD schools celebrated 22 grants worth a total of $76,801.

Like children unwrapping treasure, excited teachers squealed, cheered and teared up with delight as surprise check presentations played out in their classrooms.
Two separate grant patrols made up of foundation board members, school district administrators and campus staff made the happy deliveries of checks that will make possible a huge array of classroom activities.
