George Clooney Says He's Not Retiring From Acting Anytime Soon

George Clooney's widely known as one of the hardest-working guys in the 'biz … and he's not going anywhere anytime soon.

The actor recently sat down for an interview with USA Today and talked about the idea of retiring — he's against it … he feels his career will last well into the future.

Clooney also spoke about the importance of staying active as a creative person, saying he'll be totally fine taking on roles as an older man.

George Clooney has revealed that directing has taken a back seat to parenting.

The Oscar-winning actor, 64, who is a father to eight-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, made the surprising admission in a new interview about his latest movie, Noah Baumbach’s comedy drama Jay Kelly.

George Clooney shared insight into where he sees his career heading, admitting what while he’s prioritizing time with wife Amal Clooney and their kids, he doesn’t have any intention of retiring. 

For George Clooney, the idea of stepping back from the screen isn't up in the air.

Indeed, he's settled on the fact that he never plans to stop acting.

"If you give up working," George shared in an interview with USA Today published Dec. 2, "You lose your place in society."

The way the 64-year-old sees it, regardless of his age, there will always be a place for him. "There's going to be parts for 'Grandpa gums bread' and I'll be the perfect guy for it,” he quipped. “That's a good thing about the profession that I've chosen."
