Indiana 'Jeopardy!' super champ Harrison Whitaker competes for 15th win
Indiana's own super "Jeopardy!" champ Harrison Whitaker secured his 14th consecutive victory on Friday, Nov. 28.
Whitaker, a Terre Haute native, has accumulated hundreds of thousands of dollars from his wins. He will compete again on Monday, Dec. 1 on the quiz show.
On Friday night, Whitaker faced off against Samantha Meier, an assistant principal from North Reading, Massachusetts and Wilder Seitz a cashier and writer from Los Angeles, California.
The Final Jeopardy clue Friday, Nov. 28, read: "The smallest member in both area & population, this island joined the EU in 2004."
The correct answer was "What is Malta?" Whitaker and Seitz both answered the Final Jeopardy correctly, while Meier guessed Iceland. It worked out for the assistant principal though, as she wagered nothing and ended the game with $7,400.
Whitaker’s win streak ends on Jeopardy!
CULVER CITY, Calif. (WTWO-WAWV)– Terre Haute native Harrison Whitaker was defeated during Final Jeopardy!.
The Final Jeopardy category was Postage Stamps “A 1959 4-cent stamp depicts and eagle and maple leaf beneath the name of this project.”
The correct answer was St. Lawrence Seaway, Whitaker answered “The Ambassador Bridge.” Libby Jones of Davenport, Florida was overall winner.
Whitaker had won 14 straight games for a total of $373,999. He has also qualified for the upcoming Tournament of Champions.

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indiana native is climbing the ranks of the winningest "Jeopardy!" players of all time.
Harrison Whitaker won his 11th straight game in the show that aired Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, one night after earning "super-champion" status with his 10th win, one of just 19 players to ever earn that distinction. According to the website TheJeopardyFan.com, Whitaker's streak ranks him tied for 17th among the most wins on the show.
According to our partners at the Tribune-Star in Terre Haute, Whitaker is the son of former Indiana State University faculty members Todd and Beth Whitaker. He graduated from Terre Haute North High School and is currently a freelance researcher in England.
