Bompastor on Hampton absence and James return | News | Official Site

Sonia Bompastor says Hannah Hampton has not travelled for our Champions League clash against St. Polten due to an injury sustained against Arsenal, but Lauren James is in contention to make her first appearance for Chelsea this season.

The Blues' third match of the newly-created league phase of the Women's Champions League takes place tomorrow night in Austria. Bompastor's side will be looking to build upon a draw and a victory from our first two European outings.

We will have to do that without Hampton, who picked up an issue in our 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Guro Reiten is also on parental leave in Norway and will be absent.
