Teams around the league have until 4 p.m. today to make moves to either bolster their respective roster in anticipation of a playoff run or to trade away veterans not in the picture for next season and beyond to instead acquire draft capital for the 2026 NFL Draft or beyond.
Despite the Jets furious rally for their first win of the season in Week 8 against the Bengals, they're in a clear sell mode or will just stand pat as they sit 1-7 and last in the AFC East heading into the second half of the regular season.
It's the inaugural deadline for head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey, who are going through this process for the first time in these high-ranking positions.

That was Breece Hallâs message before Sundayâs game against the Cincinnati Bengals, as relayed by CBS sideline reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala. It was in response to the trade rumors that have been swirling around Hall dating back to the offseason â though they got louder as the Jets started out the season with seven straight losses.
Earlier in the week, Hall went to Jets coaches and told them to give him the ball more.

Jets are getting calls, but wonât do a fire sale
The Jets are off this weekend. Their front office is working.
Per a league source, the Jets are getting plenty of calls in advance of Tuesdayâs trade deadline. They do not, however, intend to have a fire sale.
Most of the calls have focused on defensive lineman Micheal Clemons, pass rusher Jermaine Johnson, and running back Breece Hall.
Both Clemons and Hall are in the final year of their contract. Johnson is signed through 2027, with a $13.4 million fifth-year option on his 2022 first-round contract.
The Jets are 1-7. They picked up their first win over the season last weekend at Cincinnati. They host the Browns next weekend.
