Banner Unveiling to Kick Off 2025-26 Opener with Oakland in Crisler – University of Michigan Athletics
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The seventh-ranked University of Michigan men's basketball team will open the 2025-26 season by raising its 2025 Big Ten Tournament championship banner before hosting Oakland on Monday (Nov. 3) at Crisler Center. Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m., with FS1 providing coverage featuring Connor Onion (play-by-play) and Steve Smith (analyst).

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Nimari Burnett is old enough to have played college basketball with Terrence Shannon Jr. and Mac McClung at Texas Tech, Brandon Miller at Alabama, Vladislav Goldin (at two different schools) and Danny Wolf at Michigan.

We are incredibly excited about our coverage this year and think it will be one of our best seasons yet. Add in the expectations surrounding this roster, and I’m as excited as I’ve been at the start of a season in years.
I’ve been running this site far longer than I ever anticipated, but it’s also become a more tight-knit community than I ever expected. There were several points during Michigan’s 24 losses in 2023-24 when I wondered why I was still doing this and what the point was, but the last 36 months have rejuvenated me as much as the fanbase.
