Security concerns raised ahead of Turning Point USA event at OU
NORMAN, OKLA. — The Turning Point USA tour is set to stop at the University of Oklahoma's Lloyd Noble Center on Thursday night, but questions about security measures remain.
The event, which has a seating capacity of over 11,000, will feature appearances by Russell Brand, Savannah Chrisley, and Gov. Kevin Stitt.
Attendees are required to provide ID and are allowed to bring only a wallet, phone, and car keys, according to a post from OU's Turning Point chapter.
However, FOX 25's Rob Hagan just strolled right into the building.
Hagan reported, "I'm covering security at the Lloyd Noble Center for tomorrow's (Thursday's) TPUSA event, and I'll just take you with me right now. I've been able to gain complete access to the building where it will be located, and you can see right now. I'm just walking around. No one has confronted me. No one is here to ask questions."
