Who won the Dallas Cowboys' trade of Micah Parsons? The NFL finds out in Week 4
One month to the day after the divorce heard around the NFL, here comes the reunion.
Week 4 of the NFL season is highlighted by the potential drama in Dallas when pass rusher Micah Parsons returns to face the Cowboys four weeks after an impasse in contract negotiations led Dallas owner and general manager Jerry Jones to deal away the teamâs defensive cornerstone to Green Bay.
Myriad other factors could affect whether the Packers (2-1) or Cowboys (1-2) win, from whether Green Bay can move the ball as it did during its 2-0 start, to the viability of a Dallas defense that has been shredded for yards and points in each of the past two weeks.
Packers vs. Cowboys open thread: Micah Parsons returns to Dallas
The Green Bay Packers had a bit of reality check last week after somehow losing to the Cleveland Browns. I guess we can hold off on christening them as the new NFC champions for a few days. Theyâre still nevertheless a formidable team and theyâve got a certain Micah Parsons on the squad. Parsons was traded by the Dallas Cowboys to Green Bay in one of the great blockbuster deals in NFL history, and unsurprisingly the Cowboys pass rush (and defense as a whole) is utterly atrocious.
Brian Schottenheimer is in tough as a first-year head coach, as the Cowboys defense has been shredded over back-to-back games by the benched Russell Wilson and previously struggling Caleb Williams. They canât cover, they canât rush the quarterback, but apparently theyâre okay against the run, so mission accomplished for Jerry Jones.

Dak Prescott on Packers-Cowboys: Sunday night game 'not Dak vs. Micah'
Much of the attention Sunday night when Green Bay visits Dallas will be on Micah Parsons chasing around Dak Prescott, but the Cowboys quarterback knows it's much bigger than that.
"It's not Dak vs. Micah. Those are never the headlines and never can be," Prescott said Thursday, via ESPN. "This is Dallas Cowboys vs. the Green Bay Packers, and we've got to go get a win."
Earlier this week, Parsons said it would be âpainfulâ to sack Prescott after playing four seasons together.
"I hope it's not [painful] for me," Prescott quipped Thursday. "And I hope he doesn't get to me, for one."
