Emmy- and Grammy-nominated performer announces marriage online with photos from California ceremony

Emmy- and Grammy-nominated performer Selena Gomez has married music producer and songwriter Benny Blanco, announcing the news in an Instagram post showing the couple kissing and embracing on a lawn.

“My wife in real life,” Blanco responded to the post on Saturday by Gomez. Gomez wore a white halter bridal dress with floral flourishes, and Blanco wore a tuxedo and bow tie, both custom-made by Ralph Lauren.

Paparazzi had snapped photos of a massive outdoor tent and other preparations in the area of Santa Barbara, California.

Friends in the entertainment industry and brands she’s linked to responded with heart emoji and congratulations. “Our Mabel is MARRIED,” said the account of her Only Murders in the Building series, referring to her character’s name on the show. After one user commented on Justin Bieber's Instagram post—shared Sept. 27, the same day as ex Selena's wedding to Benny Blanco—Priscilla urged fans to keep him out of the conversation.  

"She's finally in a place where peace matters more than the past," Priscilla, in a since-deleted message, replied after a fan wrote "she's gone forever" on Justin's page. "I just hope people stop dragging her name and let her live her life."
