St. Lawrence County man wins $10M lottery prize
CANTON, New York (WWNY) – A St. Lawrence County man has won a $10 million New York Lottery prize.
The lottery announced on Wednesday that Daniel Durham of Canton has decided to take a lump sum payment.
The ticket was purchased at Stewart’s Shops at 115 East Main Street in Canton.
The lottery’s announcement does not say when the ticket was bought or what Durham plans to do with his prize.

A St. Lawrence County man made the purchase of a lifetime, winning the top prize in the New York Lottery’s $10 Million Bonus scratch-off game, lottery officials announced.
Daniel Durham of Canton, New York, claimed the $10 million prize and opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $6,467,007, after required withholdings, according to officials.
The winning ticket was purchased at Stewart’s Shops, located at 115 East Main St. in Canton.
As of this writing, all top prizes on the $10 Million Bonus scratch-off game have been claimed. Valid lower-tier prizes may be claimed until May 7, 2026.
Players may check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
