Caitlin Clark must feel pretty frustrated right about now. The Indiana Fever guard famously never missed a single game of her college career, and now, in her second season with the Fever, she's missed 10 games due to injury, and she may miss even more. Clark left last night's game against the Connecticut Sun with a groin injury, and her status tonight as the Fever prepare to play the New York Liberty remains questionable. (Even more complicated is the fact that WNBA All-Star Weekend is approaching; Clark's absence will be felt there if this injury persists.) We may not know of Clark's status for sure until tonight's tip-off. The Liberty will host the Fever at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Clark, Fever ride record half past Bueckers, Wings
INDIANAPOLIS — In the highly anticipated first matchup between No. 1 draft picks Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers as pros, it was Clark and the Indiana Fever who came out on top Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse — and in historic fashion.
The Fever rattled off a franchise-record 64 first-half points behind a 36-15 second quarter, taking control of the game and never looking back in a 102-83 victory.
Clark, the 2024 No. 1 pick, finished with 13 of Indiana's 30 assists on 40 makes — a season-best mark for her and a Fever record for a regulation game. It was also Clark's 17th career 10-assist game, but her first with no more than two turnovers.

Paige Bueckers comments on first WNBA game vs. Caitlin Clark
Following Sunday's 102-83 loss to the Indiana Fever in her first WNBA game against Caitlin Clark, Dallas Wings' star rookie Paige Bueckers spoke about the atmosphere in the arena and the feeling of facing Clark.
"Yeah, it's fun. Anytime we can compete against each other. We're two competitors who just want to win, who have grown up to be playing against each other and playing with each other. So, it's great.
"And the environment is great here. I feel like every game is a show-off. And so, they have a great home court advantage. So, overall, yeah, great environment," Bueckers said.
