Who shined brightest on the diamond? Presenting The Journal's All-State Softball teams

The Providence Journal is proud to announce the 2025 All-State Softball first and second teams. The Journal Sports staff, with some help from the coaches associations, determines the first- and second-team members. All first-team members were nominees for Player of the Year in that sport, and winners were announced at the All-State Awards show held June 18 at the Providence Performing Arts Center, featuring Rhode Island FC midfielder Clay Holstad.

There was no sophomore slump for Jeannenot, who earned first-team honors as a freshman and became Rhode Island’s best pitcher this spring. Jeannenot went 16-3 this season, throwing 123⅔ innings with 201 strikeouts, finishing with a 2.21 ERA to help the Chargers reach the state title game. A standout at the plate (she batted .485), Jeannenot will enter her junior year as the state’s top two-way player.
