Tigers’ lineup for series finale vs. Nationals on Thursday

Colt Keith will be at first base and Spencer Torkelson will move to designated hitter for the Detroit Tigers on Thursday night.

The Tigers (54-33) wrap up their three-game series against the Washington Nationals (36-50) at 6:45 p.m.

Catcher Jake Rogers; infielder Trey Sweeney; infielder/outfielder Matt Vierling; and outfielders Jahmai Jones and Justyn-Henry Malloy will be available off the bench. The full lineup is below:

Tigers left-hander Dietrich Enns (1-0, 0.00 ERA) will make his second start of the season against Nationals righty Jake Irvin (6-3, 4.73 ERA).

Enns, 34, pitched at Central Michigan in 2011 and 2012 and signed with the Tigers after three years pitching professionally in Asia. His start on June 26 was his first in the big leagues since Aug. 10, 2017, with the Minnesota Twins — a 2,877-day gap, one of the longest stretches between MLB starts in the modern era, trailing only Jim Johnson’s 4,427-day span from July 29, 2006, to Sept. 11, 2018.
