Is Saturday Night Live New Tonight? Here's the October 11 Host and Musical Guest

After a long summer of rewatching Domingo sketches and singing "My Best Friend's House," Season 51 of Saturday Night Live is officially underway.

Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Bad Bunny kicked things off on October 4 with a premiere episode that celebrated the singer's Puerto Rican heritage and native Spanish, while also highlighting some of the new cast members. Jeremy Culhane was the very first player on camera for Season 51, while Kam Patterson made his "Weekend Update" debut and Veronika Slowikowska appeared in multiple sketches.

Bowen Yang also continued his tradition of launching a new "Update" character during season premieres as Dobby the House Elf, whose pillowcase wardrobe malfunctioned midway through his appearance and prompted the phrase, "Dobby's come undone!"

‘SNL’ Host Amy Poehler Calls Out AI, Show’s 50th & Doing “Full Frontal” In Monologue

After a week that saw talent agencies, the MPA and SAG-AFTRA’s Sean Astin call out OpenAI’s video-generating app, Amy Poehler used her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live to call out the existential threat to Hollywood.

“Before we start the show, I just wanted to say one thing,” said Poehler. “I know it can feel like times are very tough right now, and in some ways, they always have been, and they always will be. So I’ll just say this, there’s a place that feels like home that you can go back to and laugh with your friends. Consider yourself lucky, and I do. And to that little AI robot watching TV right now who wants to be on this stage someday, I say to you be boop be boop be boop … which translates to, you’ll never be able to write a joke, you stupid robot!”
