Exclusive | Steven Tyler’s vocal cord status post-injury revealed ahead of Aerosmith’s Hollywood Bowl shows
A source told Page Six on Monday that the Aerosmith frontman’s vocal cords are in “great” shape as the legendary rock band gears up for two nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles — their first full shows since scrapping their farewell tour in 2024 due to Tyler’s vocal injury.
Tyler, 78, is excited not only to get back on stage, but to share it with his famous friends in the industry, the insider said.
A full lineup of special guests is being finalized, but we’re told several rock greats — past and present — are in talks to join Tyler as the 2001 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees perform songs from their discography.
Aerosmith Tease First Live Show in More Than Three Years With ‘& Friends’ Hollywood Bowl Gigs
Singer Steven Tyler and rock photographer Ross Halfin promise all will be revealed today (Oct. 6).
It has been more than three years since Aerosmith last rocked a stage. But on Monday (Oct. 5), singer Steven Tyler teamed up with famed rock photographer Ross Halpin to tease the Boston rock legends’ planned return to the stage.
In a short video, Tyler, 78, climbs a ladder outside the famed Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles to affix some letters to its iconic marquee, with Halfin along to help with the spelling. “Y H W,” Halfin says in the video as Tyler shouts, “Gimme the O! Ampersand! Ampersand!”
