Commercial structure fire in Salt Lake City causes 3-alarm response
SALT LAKE CITY — Firefighters responded to a large structure fire in downtown Salt Lake City Sunday night.
According to the Salt Lake City Fire Department, the fire was located in a commercial building at 356 West 700 South. Firefighters ask the public to stay clear of the area and to leave room for emergency crews to respond. Traffic was impacted.

A building in the Granary District caught fire Sunday evening, sending a plume of black smoke into the downtown Salt Lake City sky visible from Interstate 15.
The Salt Lake City Fire Department posted on X just after 8 p.m. Sunday, saying it was responding to a three-alarm fire at a commercial structure at 356 W. 700 South.
At least five fire trucks were spotted in the area, and crews were seen dumping water on the blaze. The fire department was asking people to steer clear of the area Sunday evening.
