OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has issued a new standing order that allows people aged 6 months and older to continue to access the COVID-19 vaccine without a prescription. This comes after efforts by the Trump administration to limit access to the vaccine under new guidelines.

The Food and Drug Administration last week limited its approval for new COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax. All of the vaccines are approved for people 65 and older, and approval for younger people was narrowed to those with underlying health conditions.
