Federal prosecutors said controversial “manosphere” influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate should remain in jail while their extradition proceeding plays out, citing the brothers’ own social media posts as evidence they are flight risks and a danger to the community.
Prosecutors argued in a Monday filing a Miami federal court should order the Tate brothers to remain in custody while they face an extradition proceeding, which could see them returned to the United Kingdom for prosecution on dozens of new charges including rape, human trafficking and assault.
Prosecutors said the Tates are flight risks because they have said as much themselves in social media posts, citing plenty of examples of the brothers boasting about having multiple passports under pseudonyms.
