Indianapolis Colts cuts tracker: 22 cuts are known, who's in, who's out at roster deadline
The Colts have cut their roster to 53 players but it won't be these 53 players for long. In addition to a surprise cut in former second-round pick JuJu Brents, the Colts are working out cornerback Mike Hilton and will surely be looking for help at several positions off the waiver wire, including linebacker and offensive tackle.

Like every other NFL team, the Colts have to have their roster down to 53 players by 4 p.m. (Eastern time) on Tuesday.
One undrafted rookie makes Colts initial 53-man roster
The Indianapolis Colts announced their initial 53-man roster for the 2025 season, and included was one of their undrafted rookies, cornerback Johnathan Edwards.
To land Edwards after the NFL draft, the Colts paid a relative premium to do so. According to Sportrac, Edwards received $280,000 guaranteed, which, among all UDFAs league-wide, was the sixth-most.
Edwards played his 2024 college season at Tulane after spending three previous seasons at FCS Indiana State.
At the FBS level, Edwards allowed a completion rate of just 54% and only 8.6 yards per catch on 26 targets, according to PFF. The majority of his snaps came at outside cornerback, but he has some box and nickel experience as well.
