Old Farmer’s Almanac Predicts August Weather Across US
The Old Farmer’s Almanac has released its long-range weather outlook for August, suggesting that the final full month of meteorological summer could bring thunderstorms across large parts of the United States, along with tropical storm or hurricane threats for several coastal and southern regions.
As a long-range outlook, the forecast describes broad regional patterns rather than exact day-to-day conditions. The Almanac divides the U.S. into zones and outlines whether temperatures and precipitation are expected to trend above or below historical averages.

Max's Forecast: Record heat on the horizon
If you think it's hot now, just wait until we get to next weekend — record heat is on the way for several spots in San Diego County.
Temperatures will remain steady through the early part of the week, with little change in our daytime highs and overnight lows.
Conditions will hover up to 5 degrees above average across the board in that stretch. Forecast lows will also be warmer than normal, so relief at night will be minimal.
Highs on Monday will hit the mid-70s to mid-80s on the coast, and in the upper 80s to mid-90s inland. The mountains will mainly be in the upper 80s and low 90s with the deserts at 110+.
