2 Evansville daycare workers charged after child abuse allegations
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Two people are in trouble after child abuse allegations at an Evansville daycare.
Records show a warrant was issued Wednesday for Tashshavviyon Stinson, but she hasn’t shown up yet in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
Another woman, 47-year-old Andrea Williamson, is accused of failing to report the abuse. She was arrested and bonded out of jail Thursday.
According to an affidavit, the abuse happened back in May at Kindergate Developmental Child Care Center.
Officials say a five-year-old victim claimed they were put in a closet on two separate occasions and even hit with a handle of a broom.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WKRC) — An Evansville daycare employee is wanted on child abuse charges after police say surveillance video showed her repeatedly locking a 5-year-old child in a closet and striking the child with a broom.
Per WFIE, an arrest warrant has been issued for 29-year-old Tashshavviyon Stinson, who is accused of child abuse at Kindergate Developmental Child Care Center, according to court records.
Police said the alleged abuse occurred in May after a 5-year-old reported being locked in a closet on two occasions, hit with the handle of a broom, denied food and not given a blanket during nap time.
