Marcus Rashford’s £40million ($53.1m; €47.1m) Manchester United exit clause has expired meaning any sale will now need to be negotiated.
The 28-year-old, who has been with England at the World Cup, will now, as things stand, return to training with other team-mates who were involved in the latter stages of the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Rashford spent last season on loan at Barcelona, who held the option to make the move permanent for €30m but opted against doing so.
Any approaches for the forward will now be considered by all parties, who is otherwise contracted at Old Trafford to 2028.
