EuroBasket is getting closer, set to begin on August 27, and FIBA has released a new power ranking ahead of the tournament.
At the top remains the undisputed Serbia, considered the absolute favorite for the upcoming EuroBasket. Although the national team led by Svetislav Pesic has not managed to win gold at EuroBasket for 24 years, at this tournament anything short of the title would be a real surprise for Serbia.
Right behind them, as the second favorite, is Germany, the reigning world champion and the fourth-placed team from the previous Olympic Games. In third place is France, which, despite major injury problems, is still considered one of the top three contenders at the tournament.
