ASU student located after being reported missing before graduation
TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — The family of an Arizona State student who went missing just before he was set to graduate has confirmed he was located and is safe.
Tempe Police said 22-year-old Ansh Arora was reported missing just after midnight on May 10 when he did not pick up his parents from the airport and was not responding to messages from friends.
Officers tried to make contact with Arora but had no success. Family said he was last known to be in Tempe.
Police added that Arora did not meet the criteria for entry into NCIC’s missing persons database. Tempe PD’s Criminal Investigations Bureau was looking into the case.

Arora’s parents said they last spoke with their son shortly before boarding a flight from San Francisco to Phoenix on Saturday evening. They expected him to pick them up at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport after they landed around 9 p.m., but they were unable to reach him.

The Arizona State University community faced another missing persons case around the same time as the recovery of a student's body at the Grand Canyon National Park.
However, Tempe police said ASU student Ansh Arora, who was reported missing earlier in the week, was found safe, the department announced May 15.
Arora's case had prompted people online to share flyers seeking information on his whereabouts. Tempe police acknowledged Arora was missing, but his "family informed detectives that they had reunited with him and that he is safe," a spokesperson said in an email.
Arora was reported missing just the day after fellow Sun Devil Sandarsh Krishna, 26, was found dead at the national park after going missing for several days.
