First Warn Weather Day for our severe & flood threat persisting into Monday morning
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 4 a.m. Monday morning for KC metro and majority of the area.
We are now awaiting on the second big round of severe storm potential. With all three potential rounds, we will see a heavy rainfall and flooding threat. A Flood Watch is in place until 7 pm on Monday.
A First Warn Weather Day is in place Sunday night through Monday as we expect multiple rounds of storms, some of which may be on the strong to severe side.
Scattered rain & storms are possible in between now and round #2 which begins around midnight. These scattered/spotty storms may be strong to severe.
