Indianapolis, Fishers, Noblesville under tornado warning Friday evening
Indianapolis, Fishers and Noblesville were under a tornado warning briefly on the evening of April 24, but the National Weather Service canceled the advisory at 5 p.m.
There is also a severe thunderstorm warning in effect for the broader Indianapolis metropolitan area.
"The storm has weakened and is expected to continue weakening," said Greg Melo, a meteorologist with NWS.
Showers are possible into the evening, Melo said, but overnight weather will likely be clear. An isolated overnight shower can't be ruled out, Melo said.

National Weather Service surveys storm damage in St. Joseph County
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WSBT) — The National Weather Service was in St. Joseph County Sunday afternoon to survey the damage from Friday night into Saturday’s storms.
The two areas of focus were in the town of Lydick and north of South Bend Regional Airport, in portions of German Township.
NWS officials say that despite the survey, additional information and research are needed for the areas.
The US National Weather Service Northern Indiana is also looking for damage reports in the area between Lydick and the state line and possibly portions of Michigan's Berrien and Cass Counties.
