Shiffrin — who became the youngest Olympic gold medalist in slalom skiing at 18 years old in 2014 and took home gold at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics — went public with her relationship with the World Cup champion in May 2021.
In December of that year, Kilde told Olympics.com that the two connect over their athletic backgrounds. "We're having an amazing time together," he said. "What I find really cool is that we can share experiences and have conversations about things I can't really have with anyone else. She has a lot of experience; I have some experience and we can make each other better."
