The New York Giants will hire Matt Nagy as their offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Nagy spent the past three seasons as the Kansas City Chiefs' offensive coordinator and had been linked to multiple head coaching vacancies and offensive coordinator openings this offseason.
Nagy's contract in Kansas City expired last month. Although Kansas City brought back Eric Bieniemy to replace him as offensive coordinator, Chiefs coach Andy Reid recently advocated for Nagy to get a head coaching job.
Nagy will have a high-profile role in New York under new coach John Harbaugh and second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart.
2026 NFL coaching news: Giants reportedly hire Matt Nagy as OC; Cardinals hire Mike LaFleur; Raiders reportedly reach deal with Klint Kubiak
Only two teams are left playing. The Patriots and Seahawks will meet in Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California.
Meanwhile, the NFL’s head coaching carousel appears to have finally come to a stop.
Filling the NFL’s last head coach opening, the Arizona Cardinals finalized a deal with Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur to become their next head coach, the team announced Sunday. LaFleur, the younger brother of Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, will reportedly get a five-year contract with Arizona.
One week before the Super Bowl, the Las Vegas Raiders have reportedly agreed to a deal with Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. A contract cannot be finalized until after the Feb. 8 matchup with the New England Patriots. Kubiak is set to become the Raiders’ third head coach in three seasons, following Pete Carroll and Antonio Pierce.

NY Giants hiring Matt Nagy as offensive coordinator under John Harbaugh
John Harbaugh has decided on the next offensive coordinator for the New York Giants, and he's gone to the coaching staff of his mentor, Andy Reid, to find him.
Former Bears head coach and Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is joining Harbaugh with the Giants as his OC, sources told NorthJersey.com and The Record on Tuesday morning. Nagy, 47, was born in New Jersey, and now he's returning in a pivotal role with the Giants for whom he will work with quarterback Jaxson Dart, as he did Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City.
Nagy did not return to Kansas City because he wanted to pursue head coaching jobs and reportedly was a finalist for the Tennessee Titans, who went with former Jets coach Robert Saleh instead.
