Yankees announce lineup for Monday game vs Toronto Blue Jays

TORONTO − After being shut out by the Athletics on Saturday, the Yankees rode Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s four RBI, Aaron Judge's two homers and Cody Bellinger's three-run shot to a 12-5 victory Sunday.

That allowed the Yankees to win a series against the A's, occupying last place in the AL West, prior to opening a four-game set against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.

It'll be an interesting matchup in Monday night's opener, with Yankees lefty Carlos Rodon opposing future Hall-of-Famer Max Scherzer, making just his second start (and third of the season) since coming back from a right thumb injury.

Today on Pinstripe Alley – 6/30/25

Yesterday’s joy notwithstanding, let’s kick this month to the curb, yeah?

I was probably more pessimistic than I needed to be about the Yankees entering yesterday’s game. Yes, Marcus Stroman is definitively a suspect starter at this point in his career (especially off the IL), and yes, the offense looked anemic on Saturday against JP Sears and company. But remember this: the A’s have been butt since early May for a reason. So the Yankees got to thump ‘em around a bit en route to a relatively stress-free series victory. The Yanks are now 13-13 for June; can they actually make this frustrating stretch a winning month? We’ll find out tonight.
