RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The storm door is open, and we have been seeing some strong, damaging winds over the last few days, and now the rain has come. The storm has been sitting over the western side of the Sierra this afternoon but will make its way to Reno tonight and into Sunday.
High wind warning in effect Sunday in Reno/Carson and Wind advisory in Tahoe region. There is also a flood watch and a winter weather advisory for the next few days.
This series of storms is expected to bring localized flooding, strong winds, and high snow levels through Wednesday. This storm brings that classic Sierra cement to the region.
