SALT LAKE CITY – Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert announced the birth of his second child, his first daughter, on Tuesday.
The former Utah Jazz star posted photos of himself holding his baby on Instagram after abruptly leaving the Timberwolves game on Sunday night, midway through the third period.

Gobert shared the photos of himself holding his newborn wrapped in a blanket.
The All-Star wrote “Bienvenue princesse. Papa sera toujours là pour toi,” which translates to “Welcome princess. Dad will always be there for you.”

After missing the last two games with right foot soreness, it remains unclear if Anthony Edwards will return to the Timberwolves' lineup when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.
"It's definitely improving. He's still day to day," head coach Chris Finch said during a Tuesday morning interview on KFAN-FM 100.3. "We have practice here this morning, and we'll see what he looks like coming in. But he was able to move around and get up some shots yesterday. We're headed in the right direction, but I'm not sure of an exact return time just yet."
If Edwards doesn't play on Wednesday, his next opportunity will be Friday night when the 24-2 Oklahoma City visit the Wolves in Minneapolis.
