WASHINGTON — Denny’s is taking the idea of “drip” very literally.
To celebrate National Maple Syrup Day on Dec. 17, America’s Diner is launching Sticky Kicks, limited-edition high-top sneakers made with real Denny’s syrup sealed inside the shoe.
The over-the-top kicks were created in collaboration with footwear artist Dan Gamache, better known as Mache, and are designed to be a fun tribute to the topping that’s been fueling Denny's Grand Slams for decades.
Each pair features a clear panel filled with real syrup, syrup-colored patent leather, tumbled yellow accents and a Denny’s logo embossed on the heel.
