Stewartville schools closed Friday due to emergency at high school
(ABC 6 News) – Olmsted County Sheriff’s Deputies are on scene at Stewartville High School where they say there has been a critical incident.
ABC 6 News captured pictures of law enforcement on scene. Rochester Olmsted Incident is also present at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office says more information will be released when they’re able, and that there is no current threat to students, staff or the public.

In an email sent out to parents and staff, the district said the closure is due to an emergency at the high school.
Olmsted County Sheriff's Office investigating 'critical incident' at Stewartville High School
STEWARTVILLE, Minn. — Olmsted County Sheriff's deputies are on scene at Stewartville High School and Middle School on Friday morning investigating a "critical incident," according to a Facebook post from the sheriff's office.
Additional details about the incident were not immediately available on Friday morning.
"There is no threat to the students, staff or public at this time," the post said.
Stewartville Schools are closed Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, due to an emergency at the high school, according to an email to parents from Stewartville Superintendent Belinda Selfors.
